PHYSICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS
All
physicians in this group are board-certified.
This means that each of us had at least 3 years of intensive
medical training solely in the health care needs of infants,
children and adolescents and consequently has taken and successfully passed a nationally certified exam
in Pediatrics. Several of us have had additional training in
pediatric sub-specialty areas (abnormal child development and
child abuse/neglect).
AGE
LIMITATIONS
We
enjoy seeing and treating children from birth through college.
We often continue to care for developmentally disabled or
chronically ill children well into young adulthood.
MEDICATION
REFILLS
The
simplest way to obtain a medication refill is to call the pharmacy
where you purchased the medication and request the pharmacist to
call us for authorization.
ADD/ADHD
MEDICATION REFILL REQUEST: Medications
used to treat ADD/ADHD cannot be phoned nor faxed into a pharmacy.
Parents must personally hand a prescription to the pharmacist. We
will no longer be accepting the Request For DEA-Monitored
Medication Refill form. In order to supervise your childs
health we must review the progress of you child in our office
every three months. If you are in need of a refill for your
childs ADD/ADHD medication, please call our office and schedule
an appointment. You will receive your childs ADD/ADHD
medication prescription at your childs office visit every three
months.
The
link for the refill request will still be available for a
short time for those patients that we are unable to accommodate an
appointment prior to their childs last dose of medication.
Thank you for your understanding during this transition that
supports our commitment to maintaining your childs health.
REQUEST
FOR ADD MEDICATION REFILL
You may FAX, mail or deliver your request to
the office and we will notify you when the new prescription is
ready to be delivered to you.
As a general rule, we do not renew prescriptions for Antibiotics
unless the need to do so is documented in your child's medical
record as part of an ongoing medical treatment plan. Any new
illness requiring antibiotic therapy also requires medical
examination.
